A PARTY TO DIE FOR!!!

So this year, me and Sahra decided to throw a Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner (the day after halloween)!! We had so much fun planning it and it turned out so good! We hope everyone had as much fun as we had! We invited about 30 couples, and 16 couples came! Thanks everyone for participating!! AND THANK YOU SO MUCH TO MAEGAN FOR HELPING US OUT SO MUCH!

As the guests arrived, they mingled and snacked while giving each other clues that they had been given. In the second round, after dinner...LONDON WILTON (played by Maegan Martin) was murdered and enters as a ghost. The guests work on figuring out whodunit, where, how, and why. No one figured it out...but who cares! Everyone came in great costume and acted their character! It was awesome!

Today is my sister in law Sahra's birthday, so we decided to surprise her and have some friends waiting at The Melting Pot! We had such a good time! We were all so full! We didnt realize how much we had actually eaten, because you sit and cook your own food and talk and laugh! The damage was $101 for me and Clay ....yikes! and that was with a $10 off coupon!! So save your pennies and go have a fun dinner! We hope you had fun birthday Sahra! WE LOVE YOU!

Things you probably don't want to know

Alright Stacia...this is for you! You were a good sport, and I can be too.

1. I vacuum obsessively, the whole house...even edges and corners. I do have a pretty awesome vacuum, it's just so fun to use!

2. I have a need to always download new scrapbook paper and fonts, I HAVE A TON...and I don't scrapbook that often

3. I wear flip flops......even in winter. It bugs Clay. Then at night I put my cold feet on him.

4. I think I am addicted to shows on TLC....but what girl isn't? John & Kate + 8, A baby story, Bringing home baby, What not to wear (probably my favorite)

5. You know when you wake up in the morning and you have little crusty things in your eyes? Well I call them sleepy seeds, and clay gets mad and says they are called eye boogers...he always makes fun of that!

6. When I watch Animal Planet (when Clay makes me watch animal planet..) I always have nightmares about animals invading my house. Mostly bats and snakes(just saying it gives me chills). It scares me to death!

Disneyland Pictures

Our Anniversary + Disneyland!

We left for Disneyland on Saturday morning (Sept. 6). We stopped in Vegas and stayed in Henderson that night. We left Sunday morning (OUR ANNIVERSARY!) and got to Anaheim in the late afternoon. After getting checked into our hotel and our tickets for disneyland, Clay took me to The Anaheim White House, a very expensive restaurant. We had great food, and even got a little entertainment. They were filming a movie there, called 'Fierce Target' ...it's a low budget film but it would be kind of fun to see since we were there!

Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday we went to Disneyland! We had so much fun! On Friday we went to Knotts Berry Farm and then headed back to Vegas where we stayed Friday night. Saturday we drove home! What a fun vacation with our family! Thanks to Clay's mom and dad for taking us! We love you!

Out with the old...in with the new!

In July, thanks to shayne, we traded in our neon for a 2008 Dodge Avenger, which we love! Of course, I get to drive it and Clay is stuck with my mazda but he is a good sport about it. I let him drive the avenger every once in a while.

Clay just got promoted in his job to a Pepsi Salesman position, and now he will be working in Heber and Provo! He's such a hard worker!

Now, this weekend, WE MOVED! We loved living with grandpa and we were sad to leave, but we found a great place in Provo that fits us well. It's in South Provo....close to Uncle Mitch and Aunt Debbie's house, it's a townhouse that's so cute! I am having fun decorating it and finally getting to use all my stuff again. If anyone wants to come over for a bbq or games, give us a call! Thanks to Kamy, Jalayne, Chase, Dave, & Gina, for all your help on Saturday! Pictures to come....

A trip to the hospital..

Wednesday night as I got home from work I started having really sharp pains in my back on my right side. It got so bad that I couldn't move. Clay was at school, so I called my mom. She came over and decided to take me to the doctor. The doctor took an xray and decided to send me to the hospital to get an appendectomy. Finally, they hooked me up to some drugs so my pain would go away and I waited for a CT scan. They found in my CT scan that I have 4 stones and they are in both my kidneys. OUCH! They sent me home all drugged up. A t least I didn't have to get surgery.They say kidney stones equal the pain of having a baby....uum yeah it will be awhile before I want to experience that!

Wyoming

The last few weekends have been fun! See my moms blog for pictures of our Jet Skiing trip! We had so much fun, but me and Clay were so sunburned. The weekend after that we went to Lyman, Wyoming....basically the middle of nowhere, to Brandon (Clay's friend's) wedding. On our way into town we saw this sign....

Doesn't this come standard these days? Luckily this is not the place we stayed!

We went bowling in Lyman, they have 1 bowling alley with 8 lanes, the boards were not even on the floor so it was very difficult to get a strike or anywhere close to it. They didn't have automatic score boards, just a paper and pencil and a projector. It makes you appreciate even the little things! haha!

The Cabin!

We had a lot of fun over the weekend! We went to Mt. Pleasant where Clay's family has a cabin. We spent the weekend just sitting around playing games and cleaning the cabin since it hasn't been used in awhile. Thank goodness there is a toilet that works! I sure hate peein in the trees! There are 5 queen beds and 2 twin beds if anyone ever wants to come camping with us! Next time we are going to take four wheelers and some friends!

Last night I went to the Manti pageant with my family, it was a long drive, but worth it. What a good reminder of all of our blessings and the background of our beliefs.
The only bad thing is that I swear mosquitos are attracted to me somehow. Even with bug spray they still kept biting me! My mom said she's going to take me instead of bugspray since they all flock to me!

Turning 50!

Clay's mom's 50th Birthday was on Friday, so Thursday night Clay and I decorated her lawn with black balloons and a big Over the Hill sign! She had no idea that we all had another surprise for her. Monday night all of her friends met us at Los Hermanos. She was so surprised when she walked up the stairs and saw us all there. We had a good time!

Happy Birthday CLAY!!!

Today is Clay's Birthday!!! He is gettin old! We had a little party for him last night with our families, and Saturday night we went to Tepanyaki with our friends for his birthday dinner!

Well we moved in with my Grandpa over the weekend! YAY! I started a new job as a secretary, Clay is now working with Special Events with Pepsi instead of merchandising, and that's pretty much all that is new with us!

I watched 'P.S. I love you' while I was sick this week. If you haven't seen it, you need to. It's so cute! It's one of my new favorite movies. It makes you cry a little, so be prepared. It made me think about how much I love my hubby and how I never ever want to lose him and I am so happy we had a temple marriage to know that we will always be together, no matter what! ...P.S. honey, I LOVE YOU!

bein sick

This past week I've been sick with a high fever, sore throat, and sinus infection. I've been in bed all week watching movies. Clay woke up yesterday with pink eye, and guess what? I woke up this morning with pink eye!! We are just so healthy haha! While I was sick, we pulled out all the home videos and watched Clay when he was little not wanting to get his hair wet in the bath tub because it would mess up his 'hair-tut'. It's fun to watch everyone when they were little. I am going to try to post one of daniel....it's hilarious you will pee your pants. I can't explain it, i will just have to try to post it so you can see.

Lindsay's Baptism

Don't Forget! Lindsay's baptism is tomorrow morning at 9:30!! We went to the temple today to take her picture! Isn't she cute? We took her splint off her arm for a few pictures. Her dress was made by our aunt debbie! She looks like a princess!

I haven't blogged for awhile! sorry kailey and keaden! Clay and I have just been working and Clay's going to school at ITT in the Architecture program where he is doing GREAT! He draws so well! I am working on getting my schedule set up at UVSC again, so hopefully I can be in the Elementary Education program in January! Clay's working for Pepsi still and I work with preschoolers with Autism. It's hard to write about us now because everyone usually sees us all the time! I had fun today babysitting my niece Ryan, she is so cute! I don't have any new pictures to post yet, sorry!! I will do better!

We have MOVED!

Saturday morning, we picked my dad up at the airport and then picked up the rental truck. We spent a couple hours loading all of our stuff and then we headed back to Utah! Me and Clay both had to drive our cars, it was such a long drive. I don't think I have ever sang to myself for that long before. We made it home around 9, and unpacked a little and went to bed. Thanks to Ashlie, Kyle, Keely, Craig, Grandpa, Mom and Daniel for helping unload the truck!!! THANK YOU ESPECIALLY TO DAD for helping us so much! We are glad to be back with our family and friends.

A day on the strip with Clay's buddies

Tyler and Lance came down to hang out so we took them to the strip. Of course we had to eat at the ESPN zone. We rode the NY NY rollercoaster and then went to Circus Circus to play the games. We won so many stupid stuffed animals, but we had a lot of fun. After that, we went to the coke factory and tried soda from all over the world....we all gagged. Then they dropped me off at home while I made dinner so they could go gamble. None of them won anything. Yes it is 2 in the morning and I am still awake, we have been playing board games and watching movies.

7 Month Anniversary!

I know I know, you're supposed to save the top of your wedding cake for your 1 year anniversary, but with us moving we just decided to eat it tonight! We are a day late, but we were busy packing and running errands yesterday, so we decided to celebrate and eat the cake tonight! It was yummy! Here is my handsome hubby shoveling it in. We didn't even cut it, we just ate it right off the paper plate (since all my nice plates are packed). Happy 7 months to us!

Last day at work!

Today was officially my last day of work here in Nevada. I enjoyed my job at the hotel for the most part. Some days were really hard and long, but I got to meet really cool people. I met the big wigs from JELLY BELLY, SCONZA CHOCOLATE, GHIRADELI CHOCOLATE , & MICROSOFT. I got to meet BASEBALL PLAYERS from all over, BYU football players and BENGALS players, MISS AMERICA PAGEANT CONTESTANTS, The People from the show WHAT NOT TO WEAR, and lots of other really RICH people who spent well over $30,000 between spa visits and room service. How would it be?....It's nice to turn in my 'beautiful' gold and plum purple suit (thank goodness). If anyone wants to take a trip with me, my boss said I can still go stay there for the employee rate! which is pretty darn good. I learned lots of things working in the hotel business, heres some tips:
* don't book hotels from priceline or expedia or any of those sights without contacting the actual hotel first, they may have cheaper rates...those other websites milk the money out of you with booking fees and processing fees.

* don't complain too much, or the people at the front desk wont be very nice. If you ask nicely, you can pretty much get anything you want...do you know how much free stuff we gave away?

* make sure you ALWAYS keep confirmation numbers for your reservations JUST IN CASE. If the person who makes your reservation spells your name wrong, they have no way to find your reservation unless you have a confirmation number.

SURPRISE....and no I'm not pregnant

We would just like to let all of you know that......................We are MOVING home! Thanks to Joey and Ted our faithful movers, they will be helping us over spring break to haul all of our stuff back to PG. We can't wait to see everyone!

Our weekend...

This weekend we had a lot of fun with Casey Sahra Courtney and baby ryan! We played the Wii, guitar hero, and other games. On Saturday, the girls went shopping while the boys went to the cubs game. We really did shop til we dropped, we were so tired when we got home. THANKS FOR COMING DOWN GUYS! We had lots of fun!

My Birthday Party!

We celebrated my birthday on Saturday night with COLDSTONE MINT ICE CREAM CAKE mmmm yummy! Oh and a smelly candle haha since we didnt have any birthday candles! We ate our cake and played games the rest of the night!

The BEST weekend...

YAY! My family came to visit me...it's about time!!! We had so much fun. When they got here on Friday afternoon, we made some quick lunch and went to see Horton Hears A Who. Clay was still working and he had school so he didnt get to come with us. There were only two other families in the theater when we went.

(DID I MENTION WE MARRIED MCDREAMY?)

After the movie, we took a drive out to see where I work and then back to our house. We had fun playing our Wii (we just got Friday morning) oh and guitar hero. We ordered pizza and played games until we were too tired to play anymore.

SATURDAY, we woke up and ate breakfast then headed out to the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory (just around the corner from my house). We had fun learning how to make chocolate straws and trying flavors.

Then we wandered through the cactus garden and then made our way to the strip.

Our first stop on the strip was to MANDALAY BAY SHARK REEF....where we take all our visitors because it is just so cool!

Last, we went to CIRCUS CIRCUS where we watched acrobats and played games! Lindsay beat us all in the game where you shoot the water into the clowns mouth to blow up a balloon, and Alyssa played a game where you have to throw a ball in a colored cup, the size of your prize depended on what color the cup was. She won the BIGGEST prize on her first try! Daniel beat a bunch of guys in a game that you have to roll some balls up a slope and into a hole to make your horse race faster. I don't even know if that made sense, it's hard to explain. We had so much fun. Lindsay kept saying What Stinks? because of all the smoke.

Unfortunately, Clay didn't get to go with us Saturday either because he had to work, but he met us for dinner at the SUNSET STATION buffet where we all ate WAY too much.

Then, we went back to my house and the boys watched the BYU/UNLV game while while the girls went shopping at Pottery Barn and other fun shops at the District on Green Valley. Then we came home and had my BIRTHDAY PARTY!
