* I was what like 9 or 10ish
* I got to go on a cross-country motorhome church history trip for about a month with my Grandpa and Grandma Giles and 4 of my wonderful cousins we went all the way to New York!
* My sister Alyssa was born and I always took care of her

5 things on my to-do list for today:
* Keep myself awake for the next 5 hours at work (yes I am at work right now)
* Go to church, if I can get off work in time.
* Go to an appointment with the bishop at 4:15 dun dun dun.
* Take a nap, I am exhausted
* Play a game with my hubby
If I won a million dollars, I would:
* pay off all my bills
* buy a house
* buy a car
* take all my family and friends on an AWESOME vacation
Some jobs I've had:
* Hogi Yogi (making 5.15 an hour ouch)

Let me tell you what's happenin in our town...
Every time we turn on the news, all we hear is "Another shooting today...". What is wrong with people? seriously. Last week a man knocked on a door and then entered a house here in Henderson, a woman ran out, but the intruder shot and killed her fiance! Here in lovely Vegas, I am scared to open my door to anyone, I never answer the door unless I recognize them or unless Clay is home. It's hard to trust people here.
A hit and run driver has not been found yet, but the man he killed in the accident on Saturday has been identified. Police are still looking for the driver.
Police found a 24-year old woman's body in a relatives garage, she had been strangled to death.
They say she is the victim of a homocide.
A Few days ago, a 15 year old high school student was walking home from school with a bunch of friends, when a car with 4 other high schoolers drove by and fired a few shots at the group. The 15 year old boy was shot and killed. The shooters were found and taken to jail. They said they were just trying to scare the group of kids. But um HELLO!
Today, I turned on the news and heard that another boy was shot in the neck near his high school this afternoon in a drive by shooting, we haven't heard if he is okay, last we heard was he was rushed to the hospital.
All of this news is so scary! Maybe it's just because I've only ever lived in Happy Valley til now (Oh People who see my name tag at work that says Erin from Pleasant Grove Utah always say "Oh that must be a pleasant place to live!" it gets old) Anyway these incidents have all happened so close to us and so close together, it's creepy.

The Shark Reef

This morning we were stuck at home because the brakes went out in the car Courtney drove down in so we had to go get them fixed. Court and her kids were stuck at our boring apartment all morning watching movies. Poor little Nolan was so tired he fell asleep sitting up! As soon as the car was done we headed to the strip to take the kids to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. The kids were excited! Mckell and I touched the sting ray, and we walked through the glass tunnels under the water to watch sharks swim over our heads! They loved it. On our way back to the car, we were getting out of the elevator and it started closing on Mckell. She looked so scared and she got mad at us because we started laughing at her! She was almost a Mckell Sandwich. She cried all the way home. They are now snuggled in bed and ready to head home in the morning.
Friday Night

On Friday night we took Courtney and her kids to the outlets here in Vegas. We did a lot of driving in a ton of traffic to get there so the kids were pretty antsy to get out of the car. Kenzie fell asleep and was blowing spit bubbles and snoring. We had fun at the shops but Mckell kept complaining of her feet being tired. For dinner we went to Chuck E. Cheese, yum my favorite place full of kids picking their noses and licking their fingers and touching everything, it just makes you want to go there even more!!! I felt like I didn't want to touch anything in there and I had to wash my hands right away...nothin like eatin pizza with another kids boogers and slobber on your hands! The kids had fun and that's all that matters. We came home and they were exhausted so we put them to bed.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Today has been a busy day! Since today was the only full day Clay and I had off together, we decided to go to St. George to get our car registered (so we don't have to change our insurance and register it in Nevada haha). It worked out perfectly, because Clay's sister Courtney and her kids were coming down to visit us this weekend so we just met them at Chili's in St. George and they followed us back home. Anyway, no one in St. George could give us our sticker for our car, so we had to drive to Hurricane to the fairgrounds to get it. In the meantime, Courtney was at Big O Tires because she got a flat. We took the two little kids (Kenzie 3, and Nolan 1) with us to Hurricane so Court didn't have to worry about them while she waited for her car. The weather was great! We got home and got them unpacked and made breakfast for dinner....yes i made pink pancakes! We just got the kids settled into bed....and Clay is playing his oh so romantic present Guitar Hero 3. We are excited to go shopping tomorrow and to the strip on Saturday when we get off of work. We hope Court and her kids don't get too bored while they sit at our house while we are at work!

End of Training...
I finished the training program for my new job today. I went to training class at the hotel yesterday from 8:30 to 3 and today from 9 to 3. I had so much fun! The trainer is this hilarious guy named Eric, who reminded me of Howie from Deal or no Deal. We were never bored! There were 8 of us the first day for training and then 4 of us went back for a second day of training to learn about the hotel business. We went on a scavenger hunt around the whole hotel so we could learn where things were, we watched boring videos that the trainer made fun of, we did role plays (which weren't embaressing), and we learned a lot. It was funny because everyone went outside for a smoke break every hour, except me and the trainer! And he just made fun of those 'puffers' the whole time they were gone. No one believed me that I was 19, I had to show them my drivers license, they all guessed I was 22 or 23. After that, I became the volunteer for everything. There is a girl named Courtney who is new too and will be training with me, which will be fun! She is 21, and really fun. We were the only girls in the training, so we got picked on a lot. Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and they love to hug, which is weird because I haven't seen that anywhere else here. I do get family and friend discounts, if anyone wants to come stay! I start work on Saturday, I can't wait! Well except for the cute purple and gold uniforms (that don't fit quite right)!

Update on Clay's Injury
As you can see, the swelling has gone down a little. Now it is just this cool purple color! Isn't it pretty? It doesn't match any of his clothes! haha! Poor guy, it still hurts him to walk on it. Don't worry, I am taking good care of him! He is keeping it elevated and on ice, and loving every minute of his x-box playing (since he can't do anything else!)

Clay's Hurt Ankle
Clay came home early from work today because he sprained his ankle pretty bad. He was on a step stool and he stepped down from it and rolled his ankle, after that he said it started swelling right away and he could hardly move it. It looked like a baseball was sticking out from it. We took him to this clinic and they took xrays. Luckily it's not broken, but it was great because I had to get my drug test so I just did that while I was waiting for him. He loves it because he gets to lay around and let me wait on him. He is milking it for all it's worth. At least he has the next three days off so maybe the swelling will go down while he stays off of it.

My New Job!

I got a job! Finally! After applying everywhere and creepy job interviews, I finally found a job that I am really excited about. I will be working the front desk at this amazing hotel called Loews, which is at Lake Las Vegas Resort. This hotel sits right on the lake and is first class. They have so many activities that I will get discounts on, like boat rentals, golfing, they hold concerts and so many other cool things! The people there were so nice. My first interview was with this little chinese man named Chen. He told me that he had a mormon friend for me to meet, because since I had an 801 area code-of course I was mormon! This girl Danielle (the mormon girl) came in and talked to me, she is 20 and actually lives right up the street from me! She is the only mormon working there right now, she told me it will be nice to have 2 of us. I had to wait awhile for my second interview that day, so all the people from the front office were talking to me telling me they hoped I would get the job. This morning they called me for a phone interview and to describe the next steps to get the job. I have to go get some paperwork today, then I have a drug test monday, and orientation on wednesday!
