We drove to Pleasant Grove on Christmas Eve as soon as Clay got off work. The drive was great until we hit Nephi. There was a huge storm, and the roads were horrible. We had to drive really slow because we couldn't see anything! We were almost to the first exit at Santaquin when our car started swerving uncontrolably, we spun a few times on the freeway and ended up on the side of the freeway. We were stuck in the snow and we couldn't get out. We called Clay's dad in Provo and he got in his truck to come save us. A few people stopped to see if we were okay. About an hour went by, when we saw this trailblazer with a trailor stop in front of us. A man got out and unhooked his trailor and came to our window and told us he was going to pull us out. He hooked his car to ours and tried to pull us out and got us a little ways up the hill, but not all the way out. Clay got out of the car and this big man got in. He said "Alright baby lets do this!" and he took off really fast going up one side of the snow, back down, and up the other side. He got the car almost to the road when Clay's dad and uncle Ralph showed up to pull us the rest of the way out. It's a good thing there are nice people in this world. We made it to Village Inn where my family was eating dinner just in time to order. It was such a stressful drive! We were glad to get to my mom and dad's to just relax.
We had a great Christmas! Daniel, Alyssa, and Lindsay woke us up at 6:30 to open presents. We got a lot of fun stuff. Later that morning we went over to Clay's mom and dad's to open presents and see Mckell, Kenzie, and Nolan (our niece's and nephew). After that we went to Jalayne and Mike's house for lunch, and then drove to Saratoga to my dad's house to open presents! We had a busy day. That night we played games with my family until late. The next morning I didn't feel so well, but we ran a few errands. My throat hurt and I had a bad headache. Thursday morning we went back to Clay's mom's house to say goodbye. I couldn't even hold our cute new niece Ryan because I didn't want to get her sick! We left for Nevada at about 2:30. We hit some bad weather and traffic so we didn't get home until late. But we made it! It was such a fun trip, we can't wait to go back and visit!

Dont you wish you would have listened to "Dear Old Dad" when he told you while you were driving in Fillmore that the roads are going to get real bad at Santaquin and to slow WAY down or you will end up on the side of the road?
