My Birthday Party!

We celebrated my birthday on Saturday night with COLDSTONE MINT ICE CREAM CAKE mmmm yummy! Oh and a smelly candle haha since we didnt have any birthday candles! We ate our cake and played games the rest of the night!

The BEST weekend...

YAY! My family came to visit me...it's about time!!! We had so much fun. When they got here on Friday afternoon, we made some quick lunch and went to see Horton Hears A Who. Clay was still working and he had school so he didnt get to come with us. There were only two other families in the theater when we went.
(DID I MENTION WE MARRIED MCDREAMY?)
After the movie, we took a drive out to see where I work and then back to our house. We had fun playing our Wii (we just got Friday morning) oh and guitar hero. We ordered pizza and played games until we were too tired to play anymore.

SATURDAY, we woke up and ate breakfast then headed out to the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory (just around the corner from my house). We had fun learning how to make chocolate straws and trying flavors.
Then we wandered through the cactus garden and then made our way to the strip.

Our first stop on the strip was to MANDALAY BAY SHARK REEF....where we take all our visitors because it is just so cool!

Last, we went to CIRCUS CIRCUS where we watched acrobats and played games! Lindsay beat us all in the game where you shoot the water into the clowns mouth to blow up a balloon, and Alyssa played a game where you have to throw a ball in a colored cup, the size of your prize depended on what color the cup was. She won the BIGGEST prize on her first try! Daniel beat a bunch of guys in a game that you have to roll some balls up a slope and into a hole to make your horse race faster. I don't even know if that made sense, it's hard to explain. We had so much fun. Lindsay kept saying What Stinks? because of all the smoke.

Unfortunately, Clay didn't get to go with us Saturday either because he had to work, but he met us for dinner at the SUNSET STATION buffet where we all ate WAY too much.

Then, we went back to my house and the boys watched the BYU/UNLV game while while the girls went shopping at Pottery Barn and other fun shops at the District on Green Valley. Then we came home and had my BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Mom-did I leave anything out?

Rachel's Visit!

On Sunday, my best bud Rachel came to visit. Her and her friend Megan stayed in St. George, and we met in Mesquite at Oasis for dinner. Unfortunately, I had to work the days she was here so we only got to hang out with her for one night...but we had FUN! We stuffed ourselves at the buffet in Oasis and then pretended to gamble....since we are not old enough. Not even Clay gambled! I was so glad she came to see me!! I LOVE YA RACH!

Erin+seafood=YUCK

I guess I could tell you all about my NOT SO DELICIOUS night I had on Wednesday. Each month we get a chance to try the new items at the resturaunts at the hotel I work at. Well little did I know, they would be serving us very expensive seafood. Just so you all know I hate sea food, so thank goodness I wasn't paying for it. They brought us a little bit of everything from the menu, including mussels, calamari, shrimp, steak (which was good), crab cakes and all sorts of weird stuff. Brave as I am, I tried them all, except the mussels I could NOT make myself do it. I had to gag most of it down, and I felt very very nauseated the rest of the night. Now, if you like seafood and plan to spend about a hundred bucks a plate...you'd be very happy here. Me on the other hand, I prefer pizza hut. Now next month we have to eat at our Sushi resturaunt called Marssa. I am NOT excited about that. If I can barely gag down cooked fish, HOW IN THE WORLD am I going to eat RAW fish?? Ew. Gross.
